Our founder, Jacques Shalo, was born into the coffee business. From age five, Jacques was hands-on on his family’s coffee farm in Cameroon until his teenage years. Upon Jacques’ return to the coffee world with Kribi Coffee, he began sourcing green beans from countries worldwide.
Under the advice of Starbucks co-founder Zev Siegl, Jacques eventually began to narrow his focus back to his home country. Now, Kribi Coffee is focused on sourcing green beans directly from our farmers in Cameroon. We cut out the brokers to ensure our farmers are paid well for their hard work!
